Birth Photography
I LOVE births. I love being able to witness the strength of a mother, the skill of providers, the care of fathers, and the perfection of newborns coming into this life. It is a very different kind of art than a typical portrait shoot and involves a lot of practice in knowing when to be there and when to be out of the way. It also requires a lot of flexibility to be on call for weeks at a time waiting for word that labor has started and the baby may come soon! I take a very limited amount of birth clients each year because of the impact they can have on scheduling.
